Gabriella Catino


Gabriella began dancing in 2005 at the Pittsburgh Youth Ballet. She has danced with DBA from 2008 to the present, under the direction of Melissa Glen Harris, Hugh Nini, Lillia Valiev and Eldar Valiev. She has studied  jazz, tap, character, modern, hip-hop, and gymnastics, with the majority of her training in Vagonova ballet and pointe. Gabriella has been excepted to, and given scholarships for, various summer intensives and pre-professional year-round programs around the United States and abroad. Some of the prestigious ballet companies include: The Joffrey Ballet, Bolshoi, Kirov, Texas Ballet Theater, The American Ballet Theatre, Tulsa Ballet, Gelsey Kirkland, Alvin Ailey, and The Harid Conservatory. She has been instructed by Jennifer Austin, Marina Bogdanova and Larisa Akinicheva. Dancing with The Festival Ballet of North Central Texas, she has performed in The Nutcracker Suite for over a decade in a variety of roles. She performed with the Argyle drill team for 7 years, and danced in numerous musicals with local theatres. She enjoys choreographing and is exited to bring her love, knowledge of dance and experience to the beautiful young dancers of Denton Ballet Academy.
