Melissa Gonzalez is a dancer, nutritionist, educator, and creator.
Dancing almost as soon as she could walk, Melissa graduated with a B.A. in Dance Studies and a B.S. in Nutrition Wellness from Texas Woman’s University (TWU). Melissa trained at several pre-professional schools including Tuzer Dance Center, Texas Ballet Theatre School Dallas, Royale Ballet Dance Academy, Contemporary Ballet Dallas, and the Lone Star Circus School.
Her technical strengths include classical Ballet and Modern. Nevertheless, Melissa has also studied contemporary, lyrical, tap, jazz, hip-hop, contact improvisation, Flamenco, Folklorico, African (Ghana), salsa, and aerial silks extensively. She is always excited to experience new styles of dance.
She has performed with TWU’s International Dance Company, Gaudium Dance Movement, Festival Ballet of North Central Texas, Barton Hollow Dance Theatre, and Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet. Currently, Melissa teaches across the DFW area and dances with imPULSE Dance Project. She combines her experience dancing, teaching, and cooking to inspire her artwork and impact the world around her.
