Ballet/Jazz Combo Class

Overview

Are you new to dancing? Need a refresher course? Not to worry! The Denton Ballet Academy is now opening a ballet/jazz combo class for novice dancers. Adults of all ages are welcome, and the difficulty level will be beginner. This class is perfect to teach you basic dance terminology, skills, and good technique in both ballet and jazz.

The class will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 pm, both on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in the downstairs studio.

About the Instructor

Gracie Sedach is currently a student at Texas Woman’s University earning her bachelor’s degree in dance. She began dancing at DBA in 2015 and has performed with Festival Ballet of North Texas for 5 years.  

Gracie has auditioned and been accepted to Summer Intensive programs at The American Ballet Theatre, Gelsey-Kirkland, Boston Ballet, Ballet West, Ballet Magnificat, and has completed Intensives at Denton Ballet Academy, Joffrey Ballet Academy, and the Kirov Ballet Academy where she was offered a scholarship for year-round training.  She has danced under the direction of Jennifer Austin, Vladimir Djouloukhadzy, Runqiao Du, Kenichi Soki, and Anastasia Vasilieva.  

In 2020, Gracie was grateful for the opportunity to compete in YAGP under the instruction of Eldar Valiev.  She is excited to share her passion for dance with the students at DBA.
