Allison Wehby is a twenty-year-old student who attends Texas Woman's University. She has been dancing at DBA since she was three years old, and she started teaching here when she was 17. She first started out teaching the Level 1 classes, and she has now transitioned to teaching the Adult Ballet/Jazz classes. Recently, the Adult Ballet/Jazz class performed in recital for the first time in DBA history this past year, which is a huge milestone for our students.
Allison's dance experience also consists of working with Festival Ballet in their production of The Nutcracker. She has been featured in multiple roles, including Clara, Harlequin, Lead Chinese, and Lead Russian, while also serving as a coordinator and assistant. She also explored more dance styles in high school when she was Lieutenant Captain of her drill team, the Strutters. Allison then continued her dance education in the world of collegiate dancing with TWU's Pioneer Pride Dance Team this past year. She competed at nationals in Daytona, Florida, and received the title of National Champion along with her teammates.
Allison continues to strive for greatness in her teaching and dancing, and she can't wait to share her passion for another year.
